Our goal is to provide excellent patient care using a
patient-centered approach to caring for our patients and
families.
Employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction go hand in hand,
so the needs of our nursing staff must be met. Our nursing plan
focuses on recruitment and retention strategies to attract and
retain the best nursing staff.
Part of our plan is dedicated to work-life balance, and one way
to achieve this is through a flexible working arrangement
program. In our shared governance model nurses use
self-scheduling and have developed and implemented staffing
guidelines. |
Patient care, continuity and work responsibilities must be
considered with each individual request to work an alternative
arrangement. With that said, we are encouraging managers and
staff to utilize the Flexwise tool to leverage the opportunity
to pursue flexible work arrangements that serve themselves and
the Cancer Center in creative ways. |
