A Message From Joanne Olson,
VP Human
Resources & Organizational
Development
The Cancer Center has developed an extraordinary staff as we
have expanded rapidly over the last twenty years.
We value our people, and along the way we have enabled informal
flexibility for faculty and staff in a variety of ways.
Going forward we need to retain our superior workforce, recruit
the talent we must have to compete, and help our staff balance
demanding work and full personal lives.
As part of that effort, it is time that the Cancer Center
formalizes more flexible ways of working.
I am pleased to
support Flexwise as an essential tool for managers, faculty and
staff who want to design innovative and more effective ways to
get our daily work done.
The
Cancer Center’s approach to flexibility is built on mutual
respect. We expect that proposals and decisions will always try
to integrate the best interests of the business and the
well-being of our people. We are confident that you will share
our enthusiasm for this initiative and for our mutually
beneficial approach.
In the Cancer Center spirit of collaboration, communication and
accountability, we can develop new and better ways of working
while continuing to deliver superior customer service to
patients and families.
